Sports Leaders Shine!

Our Year 10 Sports Leaders helped to organised and manage a Tri Golf Tournament on Tuesday 1st of May 2018. We had five visiting Primary Schools who came in to have a go at various Tri Golf activities that our leaders had planned, set up and delivered. Our leaders were absolutely outstanding and a teacher from Elston Hall Primary took the time to praise how fabulous they had been at interacting with the students and motivating them all.

Our colleague from OSWB Academy  who leads the Primary school sport programme was so impressed and thought all the students were amazing role models for the local community.

They were a credit to the PE Department and absolutely justified the importance of courses like Sports Leaders. We are really proud of all involved.

Individual Achievements

  • Caitlan Price in Year 12 has made a fantastic 3D model of a classroom environment that is conducive to learning for early years education and is literacy and numeracy rich. She certainly went above and beyond with this classroom, with working lights and a homemade slime gel floor in the sensory room. A sand pit and realistic grass made from crayon shavings in the outside area, and mini coat pegs, tables with mini glass resource jars and carpet on the floors are just some of the amazing equipment she has considered to support children’s holistic development.
  • Radeena Dheensa in Year 12 scored an amazing 59 out of 60 in her Financial Planning exam. Her outstanding score represents the hard work and commitment she has shown in level 3 studies. Fantastic achievement, well done.
